Disability Confidence means empowering everyone with the knowledge required to be responsive to the broader abilities, competencies, and needs of people who have a disability in our workplace. Understanding how to discuss topics involving disabilities, and how to address people who have a disability, is an important part of promoting awareness, equality, and creating a sustainable disability-inclusive workforce.

ODEN's goal for this learning module is to increase your comfort, confidence, and competence in disability awareness.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  •  Understand what disability looks like in Canada
  • Dispel myths that create biases and barriers for people who have a disability
  • Understand how businesses benefit from creating an inclusive workforce
  • Use ATP (Ask the Person) when working with people who have a disability
This training is appropriate for all staff.
