The City of Waterloo in partnershp with the Region of Waterloo is committed to learning from and amplifying the voices of Indigenous Peoples as we collectively work to implement the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.

We invite you to join us on this learning journey, the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation self paced eLearning course. Developed with First Nations University of Canada, this eLearning course represents an important step toward addressing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.

We hope you will take this opportunity to deepen your knowledge, reflect on your role in reconciliation, and contribute to our collective efforts toward making meaningful change.

Description: Recognizing that everyone is at different stages in their Reconciliation journey, this course provides a foundational learning experience to foster understanding and action toward truth and reconciliation.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the historical and contemporary impacts of colonization on Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
  • Learn about Indigenous worldviews, governance, and contributions that have shaped and continue to shape society.
  • Engage with decolonizing and reconciliation-based practices to build respectful and inclusive relationships with Indigenous communities.

Duration: 3 hours of self-paced learning
